Finding Harmony in the Resurrection Account

Resurrection ICON

This morning I returned with my family to the accounts in the gospels of what occurred after the resurrection. Each gospel has a different angle on the events immediately following it. So this evening, I spent some time trying to understand the various accounts and look for the harmonious whole so that I can explain it to the kids and Pamela. After reading through the accounts, I did a quick internet search for “harmony” and “resurrection accounts” and found an interesting article based on a book published in 1989 entitled: REASON AND FAITH by R Forster and P Marston, Monarch Publications.

I found the summary extremely helpful and recommend it if you, like me, are a little confused on how all these details fit together. [click here to read the article]

From Matthew 28

18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
